CARL F. JARBOE

42 YEARS LEGAL EXPERIENCE

Carl F. Jarboe is an experienced trial and appellate attorney, providing sound advice in business, healthcare, probate, governmental and individual matters.

Carl has continued to serve as the elected Municipal Judge for the City of Grosse Pointe Park for over twenty-nine years.

Carl was admitted to the Michigan Bar in 1981, the federal bar for the U.S. District Court-Eastern District of Michigan in 1983, the U.S. District Court-Western District of Michigan in 1985, and the U.S. Court of Appeals-6th Circuit in 1994.

Carl's successful trial and appellate experience has been earned at all levels of the Michigan and federal court systems and in courtrooms in other states. He drafts, negotiates, and enforces agreements for businesses, public entities, and individuals.

Carl spent thirty-three years as a shareholder and litigation chairman for Abbott Nicholson, PC before establishing The Jarboe Law Firm, PLC in October, 2016.  He also served two years as a judicial law clerk for the Michigan Court of Appeals.

Carl has been an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association, a lecturer for both the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Michigan School Business Officials, a panel member for the Michigan Council of School Attorneys Spring Law Seminar, and a board member for the Michigan Council of School Attorneys.

Carl earned his law degree, cum laude, from Wayne State University, where he was an editor of the Wayne Law Review. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University with honors.

Carl lives in Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan and is married with six adult children.
